Mookaite: Mookaite carries an invigorating frequency of strength and vitality, and increases Life Force within the physical body. It empowers one to feel and connect with the electromagnetic energy currents of the Earth. It enables one to utilize these positive energies to increase one’s will and focus one’s personal power. Mookaite promotes an ageless spirit willing to accept change and seek new experiences, and awakens one’s natural instincts in knowing the right direction to take.

Acorn in Rose Bronze with Mookaite Beads

  • About the process and Metal Clay:

My pieces are crafted from nature.   After searching for the perfect acorn, I created a mold ready to cast in Metal Clay. Each acorn will have its own uniqueness due to being handmade, replicating nature.

Metal Clay comes in various types. It is finely ground to a powder to which a binder is then added.  It is completely non toxic and easily mixed into a ‘clay’ to a workable form.  After molding the ‘clay’, it is left to dry – I then carefully shape and file it ready for firing.  It is fired in a Kiln up to temperatures of 950C (to sintering levels) in which the binder is fired out and only the solid metal remains.  It is then cleaned and tumbled until it is shining.  Finally it is polished and finished ready to be worn.
